Recently, the "General Specification for Lithium Ion Batteries and Batteries for Service Robots" standard, which was initiated by the China Institute of Electronic Technology Standardization and drafted with the participation of Shenzhen Uteri Energy Co., Ltd., was implemented nationwide. This standard is the first industry standard for lithium batteries for service robots, which aims to standardize the behavior of industry enterprises and help the industry improve its manufacturing and service level.

This standard was approved and issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on October 20, 2022, and will be implemented on January 1, 2023.

SJ/T 11852-2022 General Specification for Lithium Ion Batteries and Batteries for Service Robots is applicable to lithium ion batteries and battery packs for service robots. It specifies the terms, safety requirements, performance requirements, etc. of lithium ion batteries and battery packs for service robots, and describes the corresponding test methods.

Service robots mainly include personal/household service robots (such as those used in the fields of housekeeping/education and entertainment/elderly care and disability/personal transportation) and public service robots (such as those used in the fields of hotel services/banking services/venues/catering).
